Aceflux
Aceflux is a sexual orientation on the asexual spectrum where someone's experience of sexual attraction fluctuates, but generally remains within the asexual range. This means they might feel strongly asexual one day and less asexual another, experiencing varying degrees of sexual attraction throughout time.
Think of it like a dimmer switch for sexual attraction, rather than an on/off switch.
Here are some of the ways aceflux can manifest:
- Feeling demisexual some days (only experiencing attraction after forming a deep emotional bond)
- Experiencing occasional spikes of sexual attraction
- Briefly identifying as greysexual (feeling sexual attraction rarely or weakly)
It's important to remember that aceflux is a spectrum itself, and everyone's experience is unique. Some aceflux people might experience these fluctuations frequently, while others might have longer periods of feeling relatively stable in their asexuality.
There's no right or wrong way to be aceflux, and the most important thing is to feel comfortable and confident in your own identity.
