Omnigender, sometimes synonymous with pangender, is a complex and multifaceted term related to gender identity. It can take on several meanings, with two main interpretations:

1. Identifying with all genders:

This understanding describes individuals who experience their gender as encompassing a vast spectrum of existing gender identities, not limited to the male/female binary. They may feel fluidly connected to many different genders at once, or view themselves as a singular entity encompassing all genders.

2. Experiencing almost all genders:

This interpretation emphasizes a near-inclusive experience of genders within the person's cultural context and life experience. For example, an omnigender person wouldn't claim culturally specific terms like "fa'afafine" unless Samoan, or "bordergender" without experiencing borderline personality disorder.

It's important to note that omnigender is not universal and personal experiences vary. Some individuals may identify with both interpretations simultaneously, while others may find one definition more resonant. Additionally, some argue that terms like "pangender" are preferable, as claiming "all genders" might be insensitive to culturally specific or neurodivergent identities.

Beyond individual experiences, omnigender also carries broader social and philosophical implications. It challenges the rigid binary system of gender, advocating for acceptance and celebration of diversity.
